Four actors create the distribution of travel IVDU

The 4 main players in travel distribution, Travel Carrefour, Leclerc Voyages, Nouvelles Frontières, and Thomas Cook team up in December to form the Union of Distributors of Travel (IDU). Since its birth, the IDU accounts for 40% of the market distribution of tourist travel, and plans to host other integrated networks of travel agencies , whose business volume is sufficiently significant.

The IDU is a professional association whose mission is to protect the interests of dealers represented. It helps to promote its economic and social role with all their partners and governments.

The association also aims to initiate the thinking and work with other professional organizations in the travel business (tour operating, aviation, hotels, tourist homes, ...), to form a Federation Trades Tourism powerful. The CETO (Association of Tour Operators ), and IDU in this context have chosen to form alliances within the next Federation branch in its own right. They are also in discussion with Level.com (Association of Travel Agents online).

The Presidency of the IVDU is rotating and non-executive. For this first year is the first President Denis Wathier, Chairman of Thomas Cook France.
